Writing Books to Argue or Analyze
You can produce a book that relies on your commentary, assessments, or discussions about anything ranging from spirituality to artificial intelligence to politics. Let’s say you have no desire to write your memoirs or a fantasy thriller, and you don’t want to think about fictional dialogue, worldbuilding, or your life story. Do you have an inclination to put forward your ideas about historical events or ethics in medicine?
Think about how you do or don’t like to use logic or evidence while evaluating a topic. Even for a topic you know well, you should consider what if any kind of research you need to do. Look into the way that publishing your book would make the most sense.
How complex or academic is your idea? For example, with arguments of a technical or scientific nature, you have a different set of analytical decisions than with topics of a societal or religious nature. What do you want to write and for what purpose?
